Your privacy at SEERON
SEERON uses limited first-party analytics to understand how the platform is used and to improve the product. Analytics is optional, does not use advertising trackers, and does not record the content of your intelligence queries or other free-text input.
Your choice
When you first access the SEERON dashboard, you can choose between Essential only and Allow analytics. The preference is stored in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days so SEERON can remember your choice. You can change it at any time through Privacy choices in the dashboard.
No persistent analytics visitor ID or analytics session ID is created. Product-usage events may be counted only in a non-persistent form, without retaining your IP address in the product-analytics record.
SEERON creates pseudonymous first-party visitor and session identifiers so repeat visits, sessions and feature usage can be understood.
What analytics can record
Depending on your choice, analytics may record the time of an event, country code, dashboard section or product accessed, selected regional brief, and activation of selected monitoring layers.
SEERON does not record the content of Ask SEERON questions, Custom Watch terms, dashboard search text, email content, or other free-text input as analytics data.
Visitor IDs, sessions and IP addresses
With analytics enabled, the first-party pseudonymous visitor identifier may be retained in your browser for up to 365 days. The session identifier is refreshed for up to 30 minutes of inactivity.
The IP address associated with an analytics event may be processed temporarily for geolocation quality control, abuse prevention and technical diagnostics. Where retained for these purposes, full IP addresses are kept in a separate restricted raw log for no more than 14 days. Product-analytics event records are retained for up to 90 days.
No advertising or cross-site tracking
SEERON analytics is first-party. Analytics data is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and is not sold to advertisers.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can reopen Privacy choices from the dashboard at any time. Selecting Essential only stops future analytics events from being associated with the analytics visitor or session identifiers and removes those analytics identifiers from your browser.
Previously collected data remains subject to the retention periods described above, unless earlier deletion is required or requested under applicable law.
Your rights and contact
You may contact SEERON about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability where applicable, or withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

Technical and security logs
Like most online services, SEERON's hosting, delivery and security infrastructure may process limited connection information separately from optional product analytics in order to deliver and protect the service. Those technical records are not used to build advertising profiles.
